I wanted everyone to know that I am cleaning up some of the "stuff" on the Illinois Forum for MN-Mom. I worked all day on it and, managed to delete what amounted to 4 pages. I am not close to being done. MN-Mom asked me to remember that this is a community and that the various posts over the years demonstrate the closeness of that community. I agree. I have read a lot of old threads today. Some brought back great memories. Some... Mostly the stuff I deleted had to do with:

  • Tryouts for teams several years ago.
  • Messages to members that they have a PM.
  • Some football threads.
  • Some of the holiday stuff.
  • Some threads where members asked questions but no one ever responded.
  • A few "joke" threads.
  • Several of my threads.
  • Some threads where content was deleted by moderators due to advertising.

Well, those are some examples. With 57 pages to start with this morning. I have not devised an efficient way of getting the job done and so, it will take a few more days. I hope that everyone understands that some of these old threads have to be cleaned out.

In reading some of the older stuff, wow, what great members we have! Perhaps some of you might go back and read some of the old stuff and even back to the first post in the Illinois Forum.

Take care!

Thanks deucedoc and Gotwood. BB will play at UMSL next year. They won the GLVC Regular Season Conference Championship this past year. It is D-II but a really good school for degrees in education. My daughter wants to be a teacher/coach. Better yet, it is 34 minutes from my front door.

BB had several offers from D-I and D-II schools. However, UMSL seemed like the perfect fit. She really like the girls in the program and the new coach was recruiting her for one of the D-I schools and so they knew each other already. That's all good with me but I like knowing that it is affordable and that my child won't have any loans over her head when she graduates.
