Fossil Ridge has been delt some blows this playoff season, They lost thier #2 pitcher before the playoffs started, and last night brendan Alvey (thier #1 starter) had an emergency apendectomy.

Brendan is OK and will recover but most likely won't play for several weeks.

That's a tough break for an awesome team from an awesome district. Three 20 game winners from 6-4A (Birdville, FR, and Western Hills) and all three were still in it until this past weekend when Birdville eliminated Western.
