P RYAN McBROOM Courtland senior
The Battlefield District's Player of the Year, McBroom capped an impressive four-year career by leading the Cougars to a 20-3 mark and the district title. He set five school records, including most home runs and RBIs.

IF CAMERON TUBBS Massaponax senior
The Commonwealth District's Player of the Year, Tubbs was a hitting machine for coach Keith Kline's Panthers. In addition to his six home runs, his .549 batting average was tops in the district.

IF JOSH GARDINER Eastern View junior
A solid infielder who also saw time on the mound, Gardiner was a key for the Cyclones in their second straight playoff season. He batted .470 with five home runs, 24 RBIs and 16 stolen bases.

IF TYLER SKIDMORE North Stafford junior
This durable shortstop anchored the left side of the Commonwealth District champions' infield, committing just five errors. An all-district first-team selection, he hit .420 and scored 23 runs.

IF MATT McALEESE North Stafford junior
A key cog up the middle for the Wolverines, this junior second baseman garnered first team all-Commonwealth District honors while batting .406 and collecting 16 RBIs.

OF DEREK JUSTICE Orange senior
The versatile Justice was a first team all-Jefferson District pitcher and outfielder. As a pitcher, he won five games while posting 78 strikeouts and a 1.64 ERA. At the plate, he hit .429 with four home runs.

OF NICK LACIK Riverbend senior
One of the quickest players in the Commonwealth District, this three-year starter was a solid fixture in center field for coach Tim Stimmell. He led the Bears with a .484 batting average.

OF JONATHAN HAUGHT Courtland junior
A clutch hitter, Haught was the Battlefield District champions' RBI leader for the second straight season. Besides driving in 30 runs, he belted three triples, seven doubles and hit .397.

UT GEOFF CIESLEWITZ North Stafford sophomore
This all-Northwest Region pick showed his versatility as the Wolverines won their second Commonwealth District title in three years, batting .463 and posting two wins and two saves.

P GUNNAR CARROLL Louisa senior
Carroll's stellar performance for the Jefferson District champions earned him district and Region II Player of the Year honors. Besides a .479 batting average, he went 9-1 on the mound with 89 strikeouts and a 1.53 ERA.

DH CAMERON AYERS Chancellor senior
Ayers' explosive bat helped fuel the Chargers' second straight trip to the Region I playoffs. A first team all-Battlefield District selection, he hit .471 with five home runs and drove in 34 runs.

C JOE NARTOWICZ Courtland senior
The backbone of the Cougars' defense with 172 putouts and a .979 fielding percentage behind the plate, Nartowicz was a steadying force with his bat as well, hitting .367 with 18 RBIs.

BRIAN MAYS BROOKE POINT (Coach of the year)
After just three wins last year, Mays led the resurgent Black-Hawks to the Commonwealth District tournament championship and their first Northwest Region playoff berth in his nine years as head coach.

P Sean Kennedy, North Stafford, So.--Ace pitcher for Commonwealth District champs, 8-1, 80 strikeouts, 1.74 ERA.

P Matt Houston, Spotsylvania, Sr.-- William and Mary-bound right-hander struck out 60 with a 1.18 ERA.

OF Shane Wolchak, Mountain View, Sr.--First team all-Commonwealth District, 13 steals and 17 runs scored.

OF Hunter Pitts, King George, Jr.-- Speedy .400 leadoff hitter for coach Thad Reviello's much-improved Foxes.

OF Bryan Valdez, Culpeper, Sr.--First team all-district, batted .571 as Blue Devils returned to Battlefield District play

IF Andrew Tyree, Brooke Point, Sr.-- First team all-Commonwealth District pitcher and steady first baseman

IF Jake Black, Colonial Forge, Sr.-- First team all-Commonwealth District first baseman, hit .322 with seven home runs.

IF J.J. McDaniel, Brooke Point, Jr.-- Power-hitting third baseman, hit six home runs for district tournament champs.

IF Travis Payne, Spotsylvania, Sr.-- First team all-Battlefield District, batted .357 with 23 RBIs and 19 runs scored.

C James Keller, Colonial Forge, Jr.--Top catcher in Commonwealth District, .987 fielding percentage and .318 batting average.

DH Taylor Fennewald, Riverbend, Jr.--All-Northwest Region designated hitter, batted .396 and drove in 20 runs.

UT Steven Barlow, Chancellor, Jr.-- First team all-Battlefield District shortstop, hit .527 and won five games on the mound.
