NW Region Baseball Top 10 as of April 26

1 (T) Osbourn Park 11-1 The Yellow Jackets’ pitching has thrown 7 shutouts this season. They beat Loudoun Valley and Stonewall this week This week They play Liberty, Osbourn and Culpeper.

1 (T) Halifax County 9-1 The Comets dropped their first game of the year to Tunstall and beat George Washington This week: Jefferson Forest, William Fleming and E.C. Glass

3. Woodbridge 9-3 The Vikings defeated Hylton and Potomac. . . This week They play Stonewall, Forest park, Gar-Field and Freedom .

4. Osbourn 10-4 The Eagles lead the region in scoring averaging 9.8 runs a game; .they had a tough week losing to Battlefield and Fauquier. , This week they play Culpeper, Osbourn Park, and Loudoun Valley.

5. Stafford 9-3 The Indians defeated Massaponax and Albemarle while falling to King George. This week They play Mountain View and Brooke Point

6. Albemarle 9-3 The Patriots defeated Brooke Point, but fell to Stafford. . This week They Massaponax, Colonial Forge and North Stafford.

7. George Washington 10-4 The Eagles defeated E.C> Glass and lost to Halifax county . . This week: They play Franklin County and William Fleming..

8. Potomac 9-5 The Panthers lost to Woddbridge and Liberty . . This week They play @ Hilton, then host Woodbridge and then travel to Liberty

9. North Stafford 8-7 The Wolverines lost to Colonial Forge and defeated Riverbend This week: Massaponax and Albemarle

10. Riverbend 8-6 The Bears lost to Mountain View and North Stafford. . This week Brooke Point and Massaponax

Who did Eastern View play that I missed. I don't get much info on them in the Free Lance Star. I know 2 of their losses were to Spotsy and Courtland but not sure of the others.

Does anyone know where to find the district standings or any AAA,AA rankings for Virginia. I tried some searches yesterday but had no luck.

I usually get some stuff off of Va. preps website they do a really good job on the AAA level. Some of the AA needs to get on there, don't here much about the battlefield or jefferson, or even the commonwealth. But as far as eastern view, thier other 2 loses where to a team in WV and to spotswood. They should have won both but didn't seal the deal.

Spotsy beat Courtland 4-2 to improve to 8-0 in district good pitching matchup Courtland now 6-2 in district.

EVHS beat Caroline 17-10 to improve to 6-2 in district and tie with Courtland for 2nd. Slugfest EV 22 hits.

KG beat Chancellor not sure of score or who did what.

that is all that happened in the Battlefield that i know of.

Alot of changes in the Commonwealth District with the past two days games.

Any suggestions maybe some stats on someone for District player of the year in the commonwealth or the battlefield. I know some teams have some players with some serious offensive numbers this season.

Sounds like a good game. Seems to me like Spotsy, Courtland and Eastern View are VERY good teams. I know with EV all 4 of there losses are by a combined 6 runs. It should come down to pretty interesting things at the end of the season for these three.

Should be a good one, i found out they play tuesday at Courtland.
