I laughed last night when they anounced, when the score was 13-1, that a stolen base would result in a free taco.

I thought "hmm ... did they get to decide when exactly they put that play on?"

But tonight, they redeemed themselves. And my homeboy got me my taco! (OK I might just let my son eat it.)

I just did a Taco Bell locator on my GPS. Between My son, Wife and me, we can easliy hit 20 taco bells each in that timeframe. Thats 60 Tacos!!

I say for those of us that partake of the free taco(s) we rate them on this website... we could have winners in the categories of a)most freebies b) most freebies at one taco stand (hand me the dark glasses please) c) longest line stood in d) longest you drove to partake in said taco e) best line you heard at the Taco Bell (some counter worker is sure to murmer, are they gonna have this World Serious thing again next year too?

Well one thing you won't hear is ..."Do you want fries with that?"

All this taco Bell stuff reminds me of a funny family story:

A few years back my middle boy must have been enamoured witht the Taco Bell commercials because he was practicing his Christmas carols for the little church program we were having and he sang:
"Away in a manger no crib for a bed,
The little Gordita lay down his sweet head"

You guys have to stop making fun of Taco Bell. It was incredibly generous of them to give out free tacos on a workday during work hours. I know I'm going to give up a couple hours pay to go stand in line to get my 99 cent taco. I doubt very much they make it back in advertising value.

Making fun of them? We had to go have Tacos yesterday at Taco Bell, couldn't wait until the free one. They made some bucks on us.

I am not sure I was the only one who felt that way, I am sure they made quite a bit of money this past weekend.
