You can lift and get stronger, work on form and such, but you can't work on speed. Either you have it or you don't. For example if you are a 7.4 runner, chances aren't likely that you can become a 6.2 runner. But that doesnt mean you cant still work out and strive to get better. AhHigh get into a good workout program. Work on your swing, unless you are a defensive specialist scouts want to see you swing the bat. Hit everyday, think about hitting, dream about hitting. Field your position as much as you can, shag balls or take grounders depending on where you play, work on your feet. Throw alot, but not too much at first if you havent in a long time. you dont want to be really sore durring tryouts if your a freshman beacuse you want to show the coaches what you can do. Get back to me if you want to know specifics.

You should have 9 players on before the other team has 6 off. Hustle your a$$!!! I mean hard. Scouts/coaches LOVE to see you bustin your butt getting in and getting out. It will also increase your speed and agility if you go from here to there with speed. Scouts want to see you bat, not so much defensive because they could teach u all you need to know to field but if u cant hit, your useless. Best way i increase my hitting is just playing in a lot of games. Live hitting also. If you can get like 5 friends together and just hit (1 pitcher) then you would increase greatly.

Dont Try..
You Already Lost..
