ob-n,

Do you need some help in the pressbox running the complicated scoreboard from collikar and myself???
Kaleb Merck looks to be a strong #2, and pitched 3 solid innings tonight. He gave up 4 runs, only 2 earned. He also gave up the HR to Green....but hey, I've seen a lot of guys give up HR's to Mr. Green over the years.

And how do I feel about the team? Tonight is probably not the time to ask that. After watching today, I'd say they are going to have a hard time winning half of their district games.

But I know they are better than that. At least I hope so.

The infield looks good.

The #1 is set, the #2 will be fine, they even have a good #3 in Nathan Barker, who looked stellar tonight.

The outfield is a mess, including my son who apparently forgot how to wear sunglasses.

The catching situation I'll have to wait to comment on as they have been having 3 different young men behind the plate.

Hitting, well, they hit bad pitching well, but who doesn't. First challenge they had with good pitching was tonight, and they failed to even get a single hit.

They won't be facing Green and Watten every day, but there is some good pitching in 5-5A, and unless they get it together, they will struggle.

Too many errors on the basepaths for me to even go into that, my son included.

Think I'll go get a beer and calm down now.

Another dad made a good comment today.... Coppell made it look too easy.
Thanks for the update, Keller Dad. I'm sure most of us can say, we feel your pain, having watched our sons and their teams have poor outings. It's early and the weather warming up will help. Keep the updates coming about all the games. This site is a great way to find out how teams and specific players are doing. I love reading about all the other teams.

Martin over Seguin by 1 I believe (I wasn't there) and Martin over Grapevine 11-4 in 9. Was 6-4 at the end of 7. Shane Griffin, Adam Glenn and Mike Hill pitched for Martin.
