Does anyone know if this is a legitimate option for players or just a money maker? Thank you

Location: NW Sports Hub, 701 Allen Ave, Centralia, WA 98531

On Deck Network is hosting a Seattle Combine event in conjunction with the Gateway Grizzlies of the Frontier League. The event will take place at the NW Sports Hub and will be run by Grizzlies' West Coast Scouting Coordinator and Detroit Tigers coach James Frisbie. The goal of the event is to evaluate talent and identify players who may contribute at the professional level as the Grizzly coaching staff makes roster decisions in the offseason. Check in will begin at 12:00 noon and the event will last roughly 3 hours.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND:

Current professional free agents
Recent college graduates
Independent baseball players looking to advance
Current college players looking for exposure and evaluation

There are definitely players signed out of the Frontier League, and a number have made it to the MLB. So, yes, it is legitimate! The Grizzlies are across the river from St. Louis, have a great stadium, and it's games are well-attended. We had a Frontier team in our town for 20 years that also had a great stadium (college wood bat league now). Check out this link https://www.frontierleague.com/information/Alumni and it will list those who became MLBers and those playing with MLB affiliates. Our 2024 follows a player in AAA with the Padres who is a local kid who played in our town.
