Car hop at Sonic. My son's Lacrosse team did it this weekend on Saturday. 1 day > $1300. Last year > $1800. Kid hop, parents in charge of money. Very easy no big accounting process.

Wal-Mart is very generous in matching funds raised. Go to WM and ask for a matching funds form. Got to get there early in the season though, money usually goes fast. (They match funds that your team raises in other activities.)
OK,

I am giving away my secret weapon here Smile

You make more money with this idea if you get a restaurant to sponsor it, but you can do it without them.

Find a good restaurant that is frequented by many people!

Hopefully you can get that restaurant to donate the prize....

The prize is dinner for 2 (up to $50 - or you set the limit) once a month for a year. Now that is a decent prize that people will want to win. If you get the donation, great, if not, it's only $600.

Print up raffle tickets and have the kids (and everyone else) sell them. Either $5 or $10 a pop works well. Give yourself all season to sell them and have the drawing at the end of the season party (so you can keep selling them)

Also, give away a prize to the player who sells the most raffle tickets... good incentive.

My summer and fall high school teams used to raise $4000-$5000 each time with a "Hitathon".

It's really just a formal field batting session (for money). It's fun and easy and if you are creative you can have a parent take 5 swings (for $5) while the balls are being retrieved or have a tee baller race his favorite high school player aournd the bases (opposite directions) to music.

I'll try to paste it here.

have your coach or yourself sign up to eteamz.com make a web site for your team.make a roster after finishing setting up the web site for your team you can hit the fundraiser tab which will let you set up a free account with eteamz.comfundraisers. They have a magazine subscription and candy sales. Our team has raised several hundred with just with the magazine sub. You do basically nothing, just email all your friends and family and asked them to do the same about the teams fundraiser and have either ask them to renew or subscribe to any of their favorites and you get 40% . they do all the paper work and have a log of all the emails sent and who subscribed..
Another one is arrange a gift basket and raffle it off. Go to a hotel in our case we went to the HARD ROCK CAFE here in FL. and asked for a donation, they gave us a 3 day 2 night stay with others items for the gift basket. WE sold tickets for 20.00 and drew out of a hat
wellhope these ideas helped you
Good Luck
Texas Rangers have a program where by a HS sells "X" numbers of tickets to "X" number of home games for the opportunity to play at Ameriquest Field. Our games include BRS (4/29 & 5/1), Astros (5/22), Braves (6/14) & Yankees (7/19). This should net us $10,000+ when all is said & done.
The players & parents sold to youth bb leagues, employers, teachers, school district personnel, etc, etc, etc. I had publicity in 2 newspapers, local merchants, libraries, rec centers, school newletters, District website, etc.
We also are using ebay. Offer discounts for groups of 10, etc. Only drawback is that it is on-going from Feb-July. So you need to have someone aggressively stay on top of the PR & marketing. It's been alot of fun!! Rangers gave us 1000 to our own game. Could have sold them, but elected to give them out to folks at school & those that purchased Ranger tickets.

Thought of a couple other things...
Rotary Club...These business leaders really enjoy giving back to the community... Grants, scholarships, donations for equipment, etc. One of our players granddad is a Rotarian. He is responsible for attaining 5 sponsorship banners for our HS baseball field.

Optimist Club...Same as above... These gentlemen give!! They help sponsor tournaments, printed t-shirts, ran concessions, then donated a substantial portion of profits to the youth/rec league.
