Good morning,
A scout suggested this league to our son/2015.
We understand they recently expanded the league and that it is very competitive.
Did anyone's son play in this league this past summer?
How did he like it?
Thanks.

I have no direct past experience, but do know several players who have played there in the past year or two. My understanding is the quality is very, very good and the player experience is positive. The league has a website that you will find if you google it. A new team was added in the past couple of weeks in Bristol, CT. My 2015 will be pitching in this league this coming summer. He signed his commitment to play there a few months ago.
My son played/pitched a couple years ago for the Old Orchard Beach Raging Tide. It was a good experience for him and the League competitively goes after quality players. Long summer season - they run right up to when players are starting to head back to school. They play in a lot of really good/old ballparks in NE - perhaps 2 teams playing on lesser fields (Torrington and Seacoast). Initially started as a place for D3/D2 level players primarily from the NE states, it has morphed into more of a multi division league and they've adjusted the "roster rules" a bit regarding NE only players. They will also take in a graduating HS player or two (e.g. incoming freshman). They compete for players with the (older) NECBL and in recent years have been "winning over" coaches to send their better players to the FCBL.

Thank you.
We have explored the website.
It is always good to get first hand feedback.
I believe the rule on New England players is 50% of the roster either has to be from New England or play for a New England school. Presumably the rationale is the local flavor will help put fans in the stands. They will take a couple of rising Freshmen between high school graduation and Freshman year of college. That is my son's situation.

I take a little offense to The seacoast being A lesser field. It is my home town. I have some interest in the team. My son was their first manager.i drove the bus as well.
i'm a little partial to the field,I played all the way threw legion on that field.
It has turned into a very competitive league.and they do play on some nice fields. Remember the cape plays on high school fields. if you get the chance,go.

Understood - I like Leary Field too, except of course finding parking and sometimes getting lost getting to the field :-)... It's got a lot of charm, but very short porch! My son has a friend who's been on the team the last two years... I think the first year Seacoast also played quite a few games at Spaulding High...
Compare it to Holman/Nashua, Campenelli/Brockton, HC/Worcester, The Ballpark/Old, Wahconah/Pittsfield, Fraser/North Shore... Not sure what ballpark Wachusett plays at and I hear the new team is playing in an old Minor League park... Yes, the Sharks play on a HS field in Martha's Vineyard, but the trip there is worth it :-)... Just don't miss the last ferry, like I'm told the Seacoast team almost had happen to them this past season (and not because the game ran long...) Heck stay a few days on the Cape and catch a Cape League game too! Nice little vacation.
