How much sense does it make to attend the PBR Futures games this year with no live scouting and the event being split into a few regions? I’m guessing it still makes some sense but less than most years where there are hundreds of scouts watching a live event.

My 2022 is attending (PA). We know schools watched video feed of him in the state games and have said they will watch the Future Games. It's also relatively cheap compared to other tournaments.
If you still get the stuff and don't have to spend a lot it is still worth it. I believe coaches are watching and they are supposed to do a good job of videoing games and providing information. Before this year, it was the most attended event we ever went to.
I would still go. I am certain they will find a way to get video to coaches and they do a good job about tweeting video highlights. It was the best event we went to in hs.
Can only speak for the northeast events, and pitchers. Numbers have been accurate. But measuring pitcher velo is dead simple. For the NYS games they used Trackman. I believe that's what's being used for today's Future Games in the northeast.
I've seen pictures on Twitter from 2 schools with set-ups to watch the games. They are watching.
KennieProton,
my son just attended a CA PBR event (as a get-your-feet-wet first showcase experience) last week and he said the 60 was laser timed. I'm assuming the method of data collection is consistent around the organization
