Gametracker I-Phone Ap?

Rob-we tried to watch games last season with no luck on the iPhone. My son tells me it's because Apple doesn't run Adobe Flash yet. He heard it's being added in April. You can listen to broadcasts though.

Your son is right - the iPhone doesn't run Adobe Flash and Gametracker depends upon Flash to run.

The reason why is that Flash is not a terribly efficient program, consuming lots of resources - and something like an iPhone doesn't have resources to spare.

I am not optimistic for April but I would love to be wrong.

How about a radio station dedicated to JUCO ball? No such luck huh? A down fall of the Juco vs D1.

One way to get game updates is to find out which parents are attending games - make a connection, and you would be suprised how helpful some people are...they'll text you updates. Also, find out if your players have freinds that attend home games and are willing to text you updates, they'll do it more often than not.....sent them some itunes, or food giftcards for their help...they'll do it.
I know it's not like watching the game, but fun any way.

Gametracker is the equivalent of a slow death about 40 times a year...

That is absolutely how this should happen. We don't need to bother the coaches about it at all. There should be plenty of folks who will be there live at any game to text twitter updates. It would be like a text play by play, but from multiple people.

Ain't that the truth...death by a thousand paper cuts....but, it's better than nothing. When Juniors team goes to FL on its spring break trip, there is no gametracker...I hate it.

The Gamechanger app looks very cool.

Thank you sooo much for this info! When you are far away and you have been able to attend most games, this atleast brings a little comfort.

GameChanger for Android is about to be released to an Android marketplace store. It is free as well on iTunes.

ESPN Han an iPad app called iScore. Supposedly a person could keep score and other people could sign in and "watch" it similar to GameTracker.

I have it, but haven't played with it enough yet.

I also recently bought ESPN's iScore ($10) for the iPhone. I've used it for a few preseason games already. One cool feature is that you can email a link to the game to people and they can "watch" along on the internet or their smart phone. If you score balls and strikes, they can see each pitch result, as well as hits, runs, etc.. A couple friends followed along so far and thought it was pretty cool. You also can email stats to yourself after each game. (Note: the app doesn't have an Address Book, so if the people you're sending the link to varies each game, I've found it easier to email it to myself, then forward that via my email, where I DO have an Address Book.)

I've decided that I can't be bothered scoring balls and strikes, as it takes too much away from the game enjoyment (for me). Plus I film my son's ABs and might film some teammates and maybe even some defense. So I'll just score AB results (and stolen bases and other necessary stuff).

I have iScore and score all of the high school games and yes they can go online for what the app calls a ScoreCast. It is an outstanding app well worth the $10.

It also gives a spreadsheet of the stats that you can email to anyone.

Had you jailbroken your iPhone, you could've got iScore for free
