I think dad watching George's sports reports every night, especially the baseball ones, may have influenced infidel_son in his early years. I do remember the kid's eyes were glued to the TV when the video was rolling.

I remember listening to him on WABC when he was a Top40 guy. What a talent. I've been watching replays of some of the Sports Machine programs. He was way ahead of his time.
First I have heard of this very sad news...
I grew up on George Michael's and I remember vividly how upset and emotional he was reporting the passing of his friend, channel 9 sports caster Glenn Brenner... It stands out for me...
He seemed to be a very caring person -- his happiness and love for sports showed in his reporting.
IMO, there is no one reporting these days, locally, even close to the talent of GM....
