UNO Admission Standards
Freshman Admission Standards
(Effective Fall 2005)
Students who graduate from state-approved high schools must complete the Louisiana Board of Regents Core Curriculum (currently TOPS Core) and require no more than one developmental/remedial course.
AND one of the following:
1. ACT composite score of 23 or greater (SAT I 1070)
OR
2. High school cumulative GPA of 2.5* or greater
OR
3. High school graduation rank top 25% of class
*Students with less than a 2.0 will not be admitted
Out-of-State and Homeschool Students who do not meet the core curriculum must satisfy all items listed in #1-3 or have a composite ACT score of 26 or greater (SAT I 1180) and require no more than one developmental/remedial course.
