leaving for Norman, Oklahoma tomorrow for a 3 game series against OUBsbMom's favorite college team.

As I said to Ann in a personal message ... may both teams do well with a 1W-1L-1T record for both teams by the time the series is over.

Please say some prayers, tho, for travel ... OK is expecting thurderstorms on Thursday, and that is the day UCR's team (and most of the dozen faithful fans) are traveling. I am fearful of thunderstorms ... in the air or on the ground.

I'm excited for you! Have a great time. I hope you have a smooth and safe flight. My son leaves tomorrow for San Antonio, TX. I just saw on the weather that they are under tornado watches today....glad they don't go til tomorrow! My husband will be going down to catch a few games. I'm going to have to listen to it via computer feed. I WISH I WAS GOING! pull_hair
Cntrfieldsmom,

Well, we only ended up with about 6 inches of snow here in Minneapolis, but school was closed because it was still snowing during rush hour. But I'm sure your son's team's flight made it out sometime today. Good luck to them, and let me know how their trip goes. We are headed to Ft. Myers later this month (family vacation)!
Just got in from Norman, OK about an hour ago (and yes, I DO know where my priorities lie at 1:00 a.m.). Have to say that although we were delayed traveling on Thursday due to bad weather in Texas and Oklahoma, AND altho it was a bit chilly in Norman for the series ... NEVERTHELESS, it was the concensus of the UCR fans who attended the series (all 10 of us Cool ) that the people of Oklahoma are absolutely some of the nicest, most courteous, and friendly people we have met in a long time.

When you come from California, it is not unusual to be treated as tho you had a contagious disease ... but we were all thrilled to be treated with respect and courtesy during our stay.

Thanks, Oklahomans, on behalf of the Highlander fans who met you this week-end.

Just got in from a beautiful week of weather.

We played 8 games and went 3-5, three of the loses were very close games and the other 2 we took butt whippings (ouch!!). The competition was very good and it was good for the team to play tough teams. They had to leave a day early b/c we had a pitcher injured and ran out of pitching. Also our SS dislocated his shoulder and was removed from the field by ambulance. Please pray for him he is expected to be drafted this yr.

It was a great week for baseball... just need our guys to rest and recover from 8 games in 4 days.

Matt played well didn't hit the ball the way he can but .... it will come (I hope). I think there should be a hitters mom shirt also Wink All in all he started every game but one....so I guess the coach knows he will hit.
