its not waiting on the ball when your jammed... Its when your just stepping in the pitch to much which makes you swing and hit the ****** part of the bat. Move away from the plate and dont try and step into it, recognize the pitch and if its a curveball that is going to go outside..then step into it and hit it to the right side..but if its a hanger or a fastball..just smack the ball with the fat part of the bat. Get recognized with your bat and know where the fat part is. it will help a lot.

The game is never over until the 21'st out is made
You might be casting your hands and not keeping them in tight on that inside pitch. Sometimes when a person "cast" they are swinging too early. Place a rolled up towel under your front armpit and swing. The towel should be released only on your follow through. Your top hand should make a movement resembling "spanking a baby." Have a partner throw you some inside pitches and see if it works. As always, speak with your coach first. Heck, you don't know if I know anything or not.

When hitting off the tee, u shouldnt be"crushing" the ball, the tee is meant to grove your swing, so maybe ur doing something wrong in practice. Your Swing should the same no matter what, a short compact swing, quick to the ball and long through it. Your body is what adjusts to the pitch. So just make sure you have a short compact swing, and gettin jammed shouldnt be a problem
I used to have the same problem...i was out ahead of it...getting jammed...this is what i did...open your stance...it's not only a great way to keep from getting jammed but a great timing mechanism...place your foot where it is comfortable so that you can return to hitting position...i.e. not as extreme as batista if it isnt comfortable..it can be more like ventura.....it helped me hope it helps you
