Im in transition to a big summer of my life, which I intend on dedicating almost every minute to pitching.

I was against the long toss "theory" but after playing High School ball for my first year, and long tossing for 3 weeks, Ive seen a 4 MPH jump on my fastball, which is a nice little giddy up.

So I reccomend long toss, every 2 days or so... or do it until your arm is sore. and every week or so, lengthen it.

Explosion training, such a sprints and plyrometrics[i think i spelled it right]are also good ways to build you lower body.

And as anything in baseball, core work...
Anyone who hasn't done much throwing on a regular basis will experience a jump in velo after starting a throwing program.

Ok, now you've been throwing, what's next to increase velo further?

I highly recommend getting some video of yourself and sit down and do some side by side comparisons between yourself and some ML stud.

I have been told impressive gains can be had from initally focusing on arm action and the way that the arm, shoulder and upper body interact.
