You will not be recruited in the same fashion as normal schools. They'll try to sell their school to you, but you'll have to try out for the team. I know there are no guarantees at any school, but this coach will tell you to your face that you have the same chance as anyone else to make the team in an open tryout. Understand? Most teams will recruit you and if you show up in the fall and in good shape with undiminished skills (from when they first started watching you), you pretty much have a spot on the roster at least for your Freshman year. Also, this coach misses fall ball in favor of football. His assistants do it.

Don't want to start a fight or anything. The differences between LA and PA are vast, but we found Gettysburg PA to be a pretty cool place. Rich in history. The school was very nice too. We just didn't think it was worth a roll of the dice to enroll in classes and try out for the team when the coach would give no indication of how, or if, you fit into his plans. Especially where he was not even going to be attending fall practices for the most part.
