1/2 of Metallica played the National Anthem before the 5/3 game against the Dodgers. They were wearing custom Giants/Metallica ball caps that might have been a Stadium Giveaway. The Giants' website doesn't sell them.
Anyone know how I can get one? Did you get one at the game and don't want it?

Papi...I'm from NJ. Used to hang out at Rock & Roll Heaven, a record(!) store owned by Johnny Z. of Megaforce. All the up & coming metal bands sold their demo tapes at the store.
Anyway, can't remember if it was '81, '82, or '83...but I saw Anthrax and Metallica open for Raven at the Old Bridge skating rink. Great show.
Now THAT is old school dude! I loved Raven. And they were the headliner?!?! Awesome!
Papi- before that Giants game there was an episode by the local station that showed the Metallica guys jamming with Barry Zito. Their studio is close by in Marin.They still have it and sounded great. Then had those jerseys on and had one made for Zito too. Pretty cool- who woulda thought "our" music would still be so cool!
