Glove loose on hand or tight?

Loose is what I see the pros doing these days.

OF's typically catch the ball out toward the fingertips and are more likely to prefer the loose, palm-showing method.  IF's field the ball more with the hands, almost as if bare-handed.  Some IF's still like the loose fit but you really have to feel like the glove is an extension of the hand and need to have good control of it.  I never see or hear of players wanting their hands in the glove as deep as they can get it.

When you play catch where do you catch the ball - heal or pocket?

I was a MIF. I never put my hand all the way into my glove. I felt like I needed the extra inch or two of reach.  

Ozzie Smith when playing catch will catch the throw on the heal to practice a quick transfer to throwing hand.
