I am on a varsity h.s. team as a frosh. It is a small school and i play back up ss. Anyways i have a really old glove and was wondering what new glove would best fit a player like me. I am kind of leaning toward akadema but idk about them really. So could someone help me out? thanks.

Being that gloves and glove choices are so personal, I hesitate to pick any out of the crowd but to name some very well known gloves, you can't go wrong looking look at the Wilson A2000 or the Rawlings. These models enjoy a lot of pro support.

My son who plays SS on the college level has always been fond of the Wilson A2000, but has recently picked up the SSK model that Nomar Garciapara used for so long. Its new so it is relegated to practice use....He always has a gamer and one in the break in line.

Best bet is to find a store who carries a good selection and pick a type that feels right for you.

Personally I used a Nokona Bulldog Catchers mitt, and it still is today the best glove to catch my son with.....after 25 years.
