Everyone having a good time - Brave fans - Astro fans - Yankee fans - Red Sox fans.

Great to see.

But please - remember those less fortunate souls - like me for instance.

During your teams' next 7th inning stretch - please - say a prayer for me and my fellow Mutts fans.

We are suffering - horribly.

Take a peek.

its, trying to find a positive spin about the Muts season, I went to examine their 40-man roster. It wasn't a pleasant experience. There doesn't seem to be much help on the horizon until you get down to Single-A where the Mets look loaded.

40-man Roster (additions not mentioned elsewhere)

Pitchers B/T Ht Wt DOB
P.J. Bevis RHP 6-3, (26 innings at 3A level)
Mike DeJean R/R 6-2 220 09/28/70 (DL)

Orber Moreno R/R 6-3 200 04/27/77 (DL)
Jose Parra R/R 5-11 160 11/28/72 (DL)
Grant Roberts R/R 6-3 205 09/13/77 (DL)
Alay Soler R/R 0-0 00/00/00 (isn't 0-0 kinda short for a pitcher? must be a changeup specialist)
Scott Strickland R/R 5-11 180 04/26/76 (DL)

Coach Knight

By the way you have one of our local boys, CARLOS PENA, with you there on the Tigers

Carlos is one of the most exciting guys to follow on the Tigers although his performace is always a roller coaster. Do you know if he was that way as a young stud back home??? I would say his potential could be a super star if he got on track.

You left out the Cardinals. Doesn't matter since most media dosen't even know there is a professional team in St. Louis. However, I'm not having a good time. LOL! I'm a nervous wreck because the Astros can play!!! Oh, one line from USA Today stated that, "the players don't mind playing second fiddle to the Yankees and Red Soxs." Then, they quote one player. Player or Players??? I was hoping last night that Fox sports wouldn't take the lead of ESPN and put poker on instead of the Cardinals/Astros game. Maybe someday the media will figure out that the team in St. Louis win or lose this series, can play. JMHO!
It's a conspiracy, Coach. Or Rodney Dangerfield willed us the "can't get any respect" line when he passed.

You know the media doesn't care when the pregame show before Game 1 of the NLCS is all about the ALCS, or when Fox, showing the Yankees-Twins on their main channel, cuts into the Cards-Dodgers game with a split screen and their voiceover to show the ninth inning (hello, if we wanted to watch that game, we wouldn't have changed channels now, would we?), or Wednesday, when both championship series were going on, Harold Reynolds closes with his Most Important Thing: "Offense! Well, outside of New York!". That would have been in St. Louis, Harold. biglaugh

Ah, well, Coach...WE know we're watching a heckofa series!
itsinthegame, I feel your pain. I can easily remember those years where the Cardinals really struggled. Vern Ruhle mean anything to anyone??? However, I love the STRESS OF THIS SERIES. No one on the face of the earth gives the Cardinals a chance today and yet, I'm going to love every minute. Orlando, nice to know the range from St. Louis of the devoted! Go Cardinals!
