All Sox fans should be on the bandwagon.

The Rays beat us.

The Dodgers smoked the cubs.

Red Sox fans have inexplicably alligned themselves with boystown.

Sooooo.....if our conquerer wins the AL over Boston and then beats the NL champ that beat the Dodgers that smoked the cubs...we will have a firm hand on Chicago bragging rights...as usual.
Ya gotta love how a college drop-out from Brooklyn can install 2 Wall-Street sub 30 wiz-kids and turn a consistent last place team into an World Championship contender in less than 3 years.

I was for them just after they turned the lights out on the SOX.

Nothin’ like an options trader to recognize relative values.

Go RAYS

Rosy, I will probably end up down south at least part time. Looking right now.

I was on The Rays Bandwagon and am still very impressed with the fact that they are loaded with drafted players. The success of their drafting is unbelievable.

However it would be pretty cool for The Red Sox to show Manny (and others of his ilk) that they don't need him to win. It's always good when the ill-willed and troublecausers leave and the team does well without them. The same goes for the teams that pick up these malcontents....you hate them to do well by it.

Rosy...maybe a must win for The Phils, but they got it. I think they will score at home, they have done it all year long, built for their park.

Could be along series, but if The Phils manage to win another in Tampa it will be over. Game 2 definitely a must win for the Rays.

Big question will be if Moyer can help at all in this series.
Man, strange call the other night with Baldelli at bat. My grandma could have called that strikeout sitting in a rocking chair behind the plate, chewing on a chicken wing. She wouldn't even be wearing gear, tough old broad. That was a big call.

Sorry Soxnole, I like the youngsters from Tampa but I'm rooting for Jamie Moyer on Saturday. I love this guy.

Nice job by Mister Moyer last night, FUN to watch to watch him pick apart screwed down major league hitters. He's a cool customer. Takes a lot of cubes to stand up there and throw wiffle balls at these guys.

Werth picked at second with the second baseman covering the bag? Youch...portrait of a guy feeling crispy dry after that bumble. Bruntlett with some heads up base running to go to third.

Some sloppy play on both ends but all in all pretty fun game to watch.
rosy,

I believe that was a 4-1 series. cub math I guess!

The better football weather team won, I'll give you that.

The umps were horid and like the Hawk say's ad nauseum "until they use the best umpire's for the most important games, it aint gonna change"

The Phillies were good in the frozen clutch and the Rays seemed to be just happy to be there.

Maddon proved to be wrong repeatedly in the post season with his pitching decisions.

You are spot on with cub bragging rights....those effectively were running on empty ever since their exit from Comiskey.

The Rays beat the Sox and then went to the series.

The cubs got drilled by the .500 dodgers who got drilled by the Phils.

I doubt you could even find a cub fan that thinks the cubs accomplished more than the Sox!

The better football won? What a silly statement. The Phillies won game 1 indoors in Tampa and won game 4 easily 10-2 in decent weather. The Phillies were simply the better team. The Yankees run ended in 2000 and since then the last eight World Series are now even; National League 4 championships and the American League 4 championships. P.S. The only one that cries about bad calls and the umpires is the Hawk.
