Thanks for sharing your traditions. It is all about family and Not presents - it is a great holiday!

lousiana09 - My son wants seafood gumbo soon. Our neighbors (who recently moved) are from Baton Rouge. She made The Best Gumbo. and Pralines too. I told son that since Miss Nicki moved I didn't know if I could make it without her.... Smile

Plus they got us hooked on Community Coffee. Winn Dixie closed their stores a few years ago and dang, we have been in with drawal ever since. We mail ordered it for a while, and I think we will have to start again.
Happy Thnaksgiving to all. I am a little late as I have have been wonderfully busy with my son being home from school. I work at a restaurant in a hotel, so I work on T-Day, but have changed Thanksgiving to the Monday before, so not only can I entertain all those that have to work on Thursday, but I provide the first rounf of holiday turkey! I usually cook for 25-40 people from all walks of life, and love it. Step kids, worker friends, husbands employees, son and his friends and their parents...it's just awesome. We take all our tables and build one big one thru the french doors outside. It's just a great celebration of thankfulness!!! Today, always the weekend after Thanksgiving, my son and I got our beautiful tree. I noted how much easier it was with him doing all the lifting and dragging, compared to all the years when I did it all myself! I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!!!
