Speaking of basketball...The girls AA tournament and championship was the WORST I've seen in all of the years of the tournament. One of the teams scored 13 points in an ENTIRE BASKETBALL GAME.

Since the girls can't jump and aren't very athletic, why don't they learn how to dribble instead so that they wouldn't have 27 turnovers in a game?

With the new format next year, with 4 classes...It is easy to predict that one of the top teams in the tournament will score less than 10 points!
Fast...That is because of gender equity...not because they can play. Can only give full rides for D1 basketball while baseball is filled with partials.

There was a 6'5" supposed All American playing in one of those games and she really struggled against a much smaller, quicker team.

Frank.

CParker couldn't dunk in high school. She's about 6'4" now and comes from an athletic family. What is she, about 1 or 2 in the entire US (out of 500,000 plus girls playing high school and college basketball) that can jump? Like I said, while maybe she can, generally, girls can't jump.
sorry beenthere i misread your previous quote.candace parker could dunk in high school, and i was present at the time she did it (unfortunatley outside the gym, i know bad luck!) any way, you're probably right, most girls have trouble getting off the ground.

the 6'5'' all american plays for my high school and every time ive seen her play with the exception of friday shes been great.

We've gone out everyday but 2. During those 2 days it was snowing. We typically go out. Today, we did our infield, did what we call "Multiple Infield," or what others might call situational infield and we hit. I threw for the most part of practice today and threw to the lineup as I think our opponents will throw each batter. Slider and curve were very good today. Fastball lost pop after a few times through the lineup. JV didn't get to hit live arm and so, did a lot of drill work but we threw to varsity live situations and so, they mixed in with varsity players to field live balls off of the bat with hitters playing live. Freshmen - another story. I really like our freshman squad and think they will be very good. We can put 3 kids on the mound that stand 6'2" or taller in that freshman squad and all have great stuff. Well, I'm tired and so, just wanted to check in before I go to bed. Kind of stiff right now after the cold wind and a few hours of BP.

Take care!
Coach,

I would imagine that you are just having some fun with us about all of the outside practices that you have been having(If you are in the Chicago area). However, just in case you are not, what kind of a practice field do you have that would allow you to take an infield with the weather that we have been having? Also, I have not heard of to many coaches that would allow their kids to play with temperatures in the 20's. There is no way that can be good for the player's body parts.
Hopperhop:

CoachB25 is down in Troy, Il not too far east of St.Louis.

According to the weather records so far for March the temperature has not been bad. The following is a temperature compilation for nearby Belleville, IL...
