what are some good drills that would help me improve my bat speed, and power. What are some other drills that would help with my quickness and speed in terms of running.

thanks Smile

You could use a big taped box on the ground with four 12 by 12 boxes in it. Number the top left box 1, the top right box 2, the bottom left box 3, and the bottom right box 4. you jump in sequence 1-4, then 4-1, and then you can mix it up. This will help you with your lateral quickness. You can also use a tpaed ladder on the ground and do different drills with that. Such as a two foot in every box run through.
Most bat speed is generated in the hips and the legs....but if your thinking about working your arms, get any bat (whiffle bat even) and drill a hole in one side...take a string and put it through the hole and tie it to the bat...then tie a weight to the other end of the string...grab the bat with both hands and hold it straight out in front of you...then roll your wrists upward to wrap the string around the bat until the weight reaches the top, then roll it back down...a real forearm burner.
