The freshman, (known as PLEBES which in Greek means "less than human"), at Army started practice on their own 6 weeks ago when basic training began. They completed basic training this past Monday and will be formally inducted into the West Point Corp of Cadets in a parade ceremony this Saturday.

They had an incredible recruiting year and are chomping at the bit to get with the whole team.

They begin formal practices right after labor day, I believe. With the reduced time frame schedule in the NCAA this year, they have scheduled several weekend games against other college opponents this fall.

I've been with you all the way until this "Go Army, Beat Navy" stuff. I guess you have to be on your son's side. Really, I have to say you must be proud, I would be.

34/33, I'm sure all the '07's appreciate your wishes of good luck. All I can say is that it went so fast.

Good luck to Josh, Kirk, Jordan R and all other sons of 07 posters. I'm sure they will all do well in their next four years (except Kirk who has a few more than that!)
