As many of our sons and daughters get ready to embark on their journey's to college, I thought it would be nice if the many great posters on this site wish them well and give them 1 short piece of advice (if you want)...whether or not they are continuing to play at the DI, DII, DIII, NAIA or JC levels, or even playing at all. Since I am starting this thread, I'll give my 2 cents:

Trust your abilitities. They got you this far (both academically and athletically). Use these tools and skills, refine them and have fun.

Study. A lot. And then study more.
Go to class. Every class. All the time.
Get plenty of sleep. Stay healthy.
Eat healthy food.
Don't party too much.
Don't dip.
Call home once in a while, so your parents don't have to call you--when you don't want them to.
Make your bed. Don't be a slob.
Be kind to the kid who doesn't know anyone. Someday it may be you.
Open your mind to new experiences--that's what you're there for.
If you're playing ball, remember that the competition is even greater than it was in high school.
Watch your back. Don't stop.
Don't do stupid things.........
Remember "Every day is 'Anything Can Happen Day'"--and it usually does.!

Don't take things for granted, or assume anything. Ask questions!!

Don't loan-out money to anyone, or charge anything on a credit card for someone. DON'T!!!

Work hard on and off the field, but have fun in the process.

This is the place where you start to learn how to "leave footprints in the sand". Make a difference. Your very important, and we need you!!
