Losing breaks my heart but then again, IT WILL BE GREAT TO SEE THESE GUYS GET THEIR TIME IN THE "FALL CLASSIC." I despise Biggion because he is always beating us. I LOVE to watch him play. Bagwell, is leading this team simply because he is still showing up. I RESPECT THE HECK OUT OF BOTH OF THEM.
These two guys seem like some of the classiest players the game has. These are the kinds of ballplayers that anyone can find inspiration from. Very happy to see good guys get their due.
On a related note, I think we're all very fortunate to get to watch the Rocket in what will possibly be his final World Series. I won't be surprised if he turns in a performance that we all remember for a very long time.
Nothing much better than seeing two of the classiest players in baseball enjoying the moment they spent a lifetime chasing. Seeing Biggio in tears was worth staying up late!
Someone posted this on the Cal State Fullerton website and I found it interesting: Starting lineup: Players from College Roger Clemens (p) - Texas Brad Ausmus (c) - Dartmouth Mike Lamb (1b) - Fullerton Craig Biggio (2b) - Seton Hall Adam Everett (ss) - South Carolina Morgan Ensberg (3b) - USC Lance Berkman (lf) - Rice Chris Burke (cf) - Tennessee Jason Lane (rf) - USC
