As much as I still worship the greatest ballplayer ever, Willie Mays, Yaz gets my vote for the best clutch guy I've seen in my lifetime.(1954 to present and counting)

Modern day:

Here's an unexpected one: Craig Counsel. I just like this guy. He's too small, too slow, and too a lot of things, but he seems to always get the job done.

Jay was a guy I had forgotten about as well. Some guys are basically known for their post season heroics.

Anbody remember Gene Tennace?

That A's team won three championships and are not talked about much IMO but had some unbelievable talent. Reggie, Joe Rudi, Sal Bando, Burt Campaneris, Billy North, Catfish Hunter, Vida Blue, Rollie Fingers......
