I'm in a panic. I need suggestions for High School Graduation presents!! Graduation is Thursday. Our focus has been on where he was going in the fall (finally committed Tuesday night)I almost forgot that he was graduating (not). He's getting a computer from Aunt and Uncle. He's going to need everything else but I want Graduation Present to be something special.

All you prepared or finished Mom's what did you give to your son.

Well, this probably isn't going to help you on such short notice, but I put togther a scrapbook for my son. He LOVED it. (I did a good job if I do say so myself!)
I actually got the idea from HSbbweb, and started in Feb. I had a blast.
But........as I said, you can't do that in 3 days. What about a photo collage of his playing days? Framed? Little league to high school? Something like that has a lot of meaning for them I think.
(Or will someday)

Of course you could always just get him a car. NOT!
I know my son also really wanted an ipod.
Good luck!
For my teenage terrors (twin 14 year old girls), they got a "summer activity bag" with gift cards for clothing stores, manicure, jamba juice, books, etc.

For my graduating son, a few books, a college baseball tshirt, and money for his choice of a mini iPod or other mp3 player, or a digital camera....(he is not spoiled and has neither yet...probably many kids have them already). The scrapbook contents for this year's season (I did a cumulative one for last summer's birthday) are in a large bag, to be completed over the summer....
This probably isn't what you had in mind, but we took ours to Disneyworld for a few days (this was a family thing) his actual present was to Scuba Dive in the Living Seas (a 6 million gallon salt water tank). He had a blast!! We also wanted to make sure we had one last family vacation with the 4 of us before both of our boys are off into adulthood with impossible schedules for us to get together.

We actually surprised him with the trip! We managed to make all the arrangements and let his coach and his boss know and he didn't have a clue until his graduation dinner. We left the next morning.

The trip almost got blown when he lost his wallet about two months before the trip which had his Scuba Diving Certification Card in it. Fortunately his wallet showed up 3 days later in his baseball locker (minus the cash), but with all cards/license intact.
Colleen and I are on the same page. I made a scrap book of all the awards, newpaper clippings, etc. from middle school to senior year. It took me years to work on it, so I doubt that you might be able to get it done in three days! I still am not done, it doesn't really move him right now, but someday he will love it and so will the wife and kids! Unfortunetly, because we made a deal with our son regarding his scholarship (college paid for), he has a new truck awaiting! It was a deal we made four years ago, he kept his part of the bargain!
No matter what you give, don't forget to wrap your arms around your son/daughter with a hug and tell him/her how proud you are of them. And try not to cry while you are doing it!
Well, he graduated and got a digital camera and a new watch and Mom was only a little teary. I've pulled the all his jerseys out and will start on a t-shirt quilt to hopefully have complete before dorm move-in...then we'll get back to work on the scrapbook. His last pages in his baseball scrapbook are from a 12U tournament...I think I have some catching up to do. Fortunately we will have only 1 game each weekend this summer. Now I know how to fill up the time.
