Hi all. Father of a 2025 catcher. We are headed to Westfield, Indiana this weekend for the Fall Championships (https://tournaments.prepbaseba...d-in-09-08-2023/2025)
Just curious if anyone has been out there before and, if so, what kind of coach presence their was. Headed to WWBA in Ft. Myers in a few weeks where I understand there will be a large contingent.

I live about 45 minutes away on the other side of Indy. Kid played many, many games there. I guess it depends on what other events are happening and how far away, but I would expect to see a pretty significant amount there. Most of the B10 coaches I'd expect. Maybe Ky from the SEC, ND also. Along with no small amount representing the mid-majors. Unless things have really changed in the last six years you shouldn't be disappointed.

Went and looked at the info. 103 teams registered. Like sharks in the water I'd assume.
There will be plenty......no where near WWBA level, but your son will have plenty of eyes on him.
The Puma Classic juco tournament is there Friday and Saturday in case you want to scout any local schools, or try to meet any coaches. 30 teams.

Grand Park is a great facility. My biggest complaint is that cell service SUCKS there.
Not really on topic, but the Ironworks hotel is where we stayed when the Futures games were there and it was a cool hotel. It’s about 15 minutes away from the park but I was surprised for being kind of on the outskirts.

I can only imagine where you live if you consider that to be the "outskirts".
I’m gauging that from how long we drove from the airport. And that there wasn’t a to out there? This was also in 2018.

To me outskirts is an area where a city would start to transition into a more rural setting. Given the area around this hotel is one of the most congested, high traffic areas in or around Indianapolis that's not the phrase that would come to mind if I were to describe it. That said, I guess if one were from Atlanta, or New York, or DC, your opinion might differ.
I guess I used the wrong wording. Seems like a downtown type hotel in the suburbs.

In all seriousness - we've been here multiple times in the past and expect we may need to again in the future...is there a cell phone/internet service that seems to work well at Westfield? Often we need to work while traveling with our son, and what we have clearly is not working (may get an additional hotspot, for security).

I have T- Mobile and its always been putrid there. Last summer a mom was working via a Verizon hotspot and she said it worked well.
