Do you know what the issue was at the GWU field? Did it have drainage difficulty with the recent snow & rain Son plays there in two weeks.

UR, VCU & UVa are all home this weekend too. Good opportunity to see some games.

Everyone has their GW field "horror" story. Mine came freshmen year at W&M. Radar looked like rain in the DC area. Coach Farr offered to switch locations (they were scheduled to play at our park later that season), but GW insisted that they were good to go. Needless to say we got on the bus did the I95 N trip. Farr hops off the bus to check the field. I thought he was going to punch GW's coach. Field was a safety issue and Farr would not let us risk getting on the field. I don't think we even got off the bus! Back to Williamsburg. Thats what happens when you play at a little league complex.

This game was never scheduled for the GW field - i was under the impression that it was under repair or being upgraded. The game was originally scheduled for the Petersburg Generals field which is unplayable due weather!

GWU is in the process of finishing up substantial improvements to their field. Same location, but much more of a facility and BTW the fences are getting moved back quite a bit (though perhaps still not quite far enough, it's all they have land area for).

Is GW moving all the home games?

Where is their field?

Is it in Arlington on 4 Mile Run Drive?

I think the answer to both questions is "Yes". The field is in Arlington and on Four Mile Run Drive. It looks like 3/10 & 3/11 games against Cornell will be their first homes games on the renovated field. That can be a blessing and a curse.

I grew up in Barcroft Apartments and played Little League at that location...

It's been a long time since I've been to the area and with regard to the field I hope things have changed for the better.
