Yesterday Sunday son and I attend Jr. Day at Santa Clara University (CA). It was very cool. We ran into players he has played with and against since he was in little league. Some players we have not seen in a while. Lots of hand shakes with parents and players. Lots of good memeries of teams he has been on. One boy in particular was on my son's LL team. At that time average hieght and a little chubby like they all were. His family had moved away and we had not seen him since. He is now 6'4" with an athlectic build. They do grow into men.

As we were taking the tour of the staduim and then the campus it hit me that in not to long of a time he is going to be a college student. I can still picture in my mind holding his hand as we walked through the parking lot at Candle Stick park to watch the Giants.

We enjoyed the entire day. We laughed and had a great day togehter. On the way home he commented that he could not wait till Monday to get to practice. I looked over at him and could see that he wants it more now than ever. Don't know what level or even if he will play bb after HS but we will allways enjoy baseball together and have a great memories of a Sunday in April. Thank you Santa Clara University.

They do put on a good Jr. day @ SCU. The iceing on the cake for our boys was the HOT SCU coed that led them on the tour!

However I did think that 150 students was a bit much. I thought it was more of a recruiting visit for the school and not just the baseball team.

But it does give you a good feel for the school, the academics, and the facilities.
