We parents often use the "hot hands" packets in our pockets, boots, etc., and we have seen players have them in the dugout. We wondered if there is any issue with a pitcher keeping one in his back pocket to warm his throwing hand between pitches?

I agree that there shouldn't be an issue. Just as the umpire should allow him to blow on his hand between pitches when it is cold.

Un/fortunately - depending on your perspective - the tournament has been cancelled. Forecast of low 30's and light snow. Probably best not to risk injury to very cold muscles and on a very hard field surface.
