Handley High School ... a view from a Drone

Three shots of the football field and none from the classrooms. What are the priorities there?

RMJ. .. it wasn't produced by the school. So the priority was probably to show off big sweeping shots with a quadracopter.

They don't have a baseball field?

Winchester is beautiful.  I love that part of the Commonwealth.  I'd like to see similar live shots at the College World Series in Omaha.

Neice graduated from Handley a few years ago. Beautiful school and great academdics.Played Volleyball there. Good Baseball team most years too. She went on to graduate this past May from University of South Carolina in three years!

I am very, VERY familiar with Handley HS…been there many, many times.  Gorgeous HS.

 

Both my parents and many of my aunts and uncles went to HS there.  My father and at least one uncle played football there.  My mother was a cheerleader there.  Another uncle lives just over the hill behind the school now and my grandmother lived just down the street.

 

Wow!  Goosebumps.

Beautiful school in a beautiful town.  Handley baseball overshadowed in Winchester lately by Sherando and Millbrook.  Last I knew, they play their home baseball games at Bridgeforth Field in nearby park.  There is no baseball field on campus.  I went to rival high school but married a "Handley girl".  She talks with more pride about her HS experience than college.  Her father is a Handley legend (teacher, coach, AD) so I guess that stands to reason.

I wonder if we're related. 

Unfortunately for Handley baseball ... it's on serious downward trend and is not going to be able to recover, IMHO.  There are several reasons IMHO for the downfall of Handley baseball but once Lacrosse starts, I look for baseball at Handley to become extinct within 3yrs.
