Happy Father's Day to all of you great dads.

There truly are so many fathers in our community who any player would be very lucky to call "Dad". You spend endless hours at the ballpark or trekking cross-country to tourneys and showcases. You do the research to help your son become a better hitter or pitcher, learn how to make the high school team, or find the right college "fit". You support him through the tough times and cheer his victories. Sometimes your sacrifices might seem to go unnoticed, but... they make all the difference in the world.

I'll be staying home and kicking back with my family. Relaxation by the pool, barbecue, college baseball on TV, and hanging out with my Fam...I can't think of a better way to spend Father's Day!? I hope all the dads have a great day!

I got the two phone calls today I always look forward to. The one's from my two boys. I called my Dad this morning when I woke up before heading out to Sunday Church service. I called him from my knee's and told him how much I love him and miss him and how I know I will see him again one day.

I had my Mom over for dinner and she and my wife are off to take my oldest some left overs because he is working. The rest of the day I plan on doing what I love to do. Watch some baseball.

To all the Dads out there have a great day. We are blessed to be Dads.

On another note, I had a great start to my Dad's Day...
I coached a club team the last several years and the HS V team the last two. The club team was filled with the boys that are not studs and don't get invites to the top tier travel teams in the area - just wanted to climb the HS ladder. And the HS team is one trying to change the program's losing ways, also without the help of any D1 stud type players.
Today, the All-County team was announced. This came on the heels of the All-League team announcements a week or two ago. Both were littered heavily with players from each team. Kids worked hard, played hard, didn't give up. So happy for them and today for the pride in their Dads. (Moms every other day) Really made my day.
