Hallelujah, the day is here, and the Orioles pitchers and catchers report today. Mrs. Hokieone, a very tolerant sort, will be getting flowers, arranged around a purple,black, and white Strasburg Express baseball.
p.s.My P & C Report day Present: We had one of our pitchers (Alex Haines, Seton Hill) from 2011 named the #1 small college pitching prospect in the nation for the MLB draft by Baseball America, and a 2012 (Kevin Herget, Kean) named the #4 MLB draft prospect in all of D III baseball. Both just great kids-this summer ball thing can be fun! And I am totally blessed that Mrs. Hokieone is on board...or would otherwise be divorced by now.
