I think most coaches would run u in that situation, but what does running really do if u are making errors and playing bad baseball. If u want to improve u should field more balls and work harder in ever aspect of the game to make u mentaly tougher. Running is good for u and can help make u a better baseball player, but u should not run durring practice time. U should run after practice.
Well, when we are playing bad baseball, our coach takes a much different approach than your coaches. He just sits us down before practice and explains what we're doing wrong, then we just go out and scrimmage eachother and have a "fun" practice. This gets us more excited about baseball instead of downhearted and dejected. It seems to work because we just finished our 2nd consecutive 20-win season and also won the conference title for the first time in 36 years.
it depends. if we're playing bad because we're making physical mistakes then we would probably just take a lot more infield and outfield. but if we were losing because of mistakes that indicate a lack of effort or concentration (not running out groundballs or forgetting to cover a base) then we would run and while we were running we would get chewed out.

our high school baseball team had an attitude problem and they had a practice they called "black friday" they did a lot of running and they didn't even touch a baseball. after that they won 10 of 12 and made it to the state semi-final before losing to the eventual champion. they were seeded 4th (out of 5 teams)when the district tournament began.
