RHP, R1

While in the Initial stage of the stretch position has is free foot at about a 30 degree angle to his left. Not directly towards home but more towards home then first. He takes his signs, looks at the runner and then goes to the Set position just like any other pitcher does. Now if he had ant other runners on base his Initial stage was "normal", straight towards home.

I have never seen anything like this.

Any input?

It helps create a more open stance for a potential throw to first. Common and legal.
