The whole town of Haverford uses Fords- The college, the public school, the private school, youth teams, even the trashmen are the Fords, but I've never seen a mascot. So, I always ask when I see somebody in their colors. I've gotten all kinds of answers- a car, a horse, a river crossing...

I've reached the conclusion it's like a Phillie. Everyone in Haverford is a Ford, or 'Ford.

I'd like to see the team nicknamed the Chevy's. They could get Chevy Chase as a mascot. He can't get work these days. Turns out he wasn't the next Cary Grant.

Haverford is named the Fords because Quakers was already taken by Penn and they lack imagination.

Thats the problem with the interweb, people believe **** near anything they read.

Well, I saw the squirrels on another page, but news section of the athletic's website, kept referring to 'Fords.

However, I'm glad to know the baseball team has the lucky little feller ... maybe he will get his own card?
