The article tells the who, what, where, how and when but it doesn't tell anything about the spirit of Vonn Fe'ao who refused to give up, was the heart of his team and provided the spark that just lifted his team on his back and carried them across the line.

My vote for MVP of the entire tournament...Vonn Fe'ao, 3b/RHP for Ewa Beach Little League.

Not wanting to take away from Hawaii's glory...but Little League Baseball is FAR from being a PURE form of baseball.
It is probably the most UNPURE form at the 12U age.

For that particular format Hawaii looked like the strongest team in the tourney. Their subs played better, their pitchers threw harder. Their batters were more consistant.
The umpires actually blew a call at 2nd base in the 6th giving Curacao 2 outs, instead of 1 out. The Hawaii SS was not within 3 feet of 2nd when he got the assist, as the replay indicated.
In spite of the bad call, the best team won.

after the Almonte fiasco---it would be hard to believe that an overage player was on the field!
I was there and it was great! Vonn was really pumped up well pitching. Very fun to watch.

I have first hand knowledge as my son also grew at an early age and reached 5'11" & 145 lbs before his 13th birthday! He reached his full height by the time he entered HS. He is now 6'2" and 210.
