I would seriously doubt they move Richar to make room for Uribe.
Richar is a big "maybe".

Ozzie and the staff love Richar though...envision him as a potential All Star someday. With the history between Uribe and Oz, and the projection of Richar, I'd bet Uribe doesn't break camp with the Sox.

I agree with your post.(not sure about the All-Star part)
IMO however,(and after a lot of thought) if Caberera is moved to 2nd we would have the very best defensive middle infield in baseball.
That way, the Danks/Gavin experiment might just work!

Uribe has a cannon across the diamond and i would like to see him at short to start the year, but if he is not part of the team next year i think richar can be a solid 9 hitter and has already proven himself defensively

Here's one who's not gone. Kerry Wood gives a no-brainer hometown discount to the Cubs signing a one year deal at $4.25M plus incentives. Internet sources including the site, www.mlbtraderumors.com had several teams interested in KW with at least a 2 year deal. I guess his relationship with the team and Jim Hendry actually means something to him.

He may have a cannon, but lack of mobility is a hindrance at ss.

They were the top 2 in the AL in "Zone factor"
Caberera (as Tuzi points out) is not a better defensive SS.
He is virtually the same as JU.
They both are among the best defensive SS in the game.
In 150 games Juan had more chances than Orlando did in 153.
Their fielding Pct. is similar.(.976 - .983)
To insult his range is ridiculous.
Can you remember the greatest play of the 05 WS?

He's good in the clubhouse and he can carry a team with his bat for short periods of time.
