Though we are unable to respond to every question concerning Headfirst on this site, there were questions raised in this thread to which we want to respond.
Without ties to any particular college program, Headfirst’s sole objective is to provide substantive exposure opportunities to every student-athlete that attends our events. In 2009, Headfirst Camps had at least thirty coaches at each of our Camps, and never exceeded a 4:1 player-to-coach ratio. Both of our 2009 August Honor Roll Camps, referred to above in an earlier post, hosted approximately 250 players and 120 college coaches (representing over 80 schools). Given this volume of college coaches, and the opportunity to play four simulated games over a two-day period, we believe that every player had a tremendous opportunity to be exposed to wide range of college coaches. To maintain that premium level of exposure for every attendee, Headfirst turned away over 150 families from these Camps.
Rather than take our word for it, we encourage every family to do their own research and determine what events are most appropriate for their student-athlete. The best information comes from folks who have attended the events they are discussing, not business owners or otherwise-affiliated posters. On our Facebook Page, (search: Headfirst Baseball Honor Roll Showcase Camps), many Honor Roll Camp alums have recounted their recruiting stories and shared their experiences.
If anyone has questions about the format or programming of the Headfirst Honor Roll Camps, we’ll be happy to answer your question directly and honestly. Our contact information is below.
