I always love it when someone asks about these camps. They are fantastic. My son (now a pitcher at Stanford) and his best friend (now an outfielder at Williams) attended these camps in the fall of their junior and senior years. I believe that to this day, they believe that the camps were instrumental in their baseball recruiting. Plus, they were tremendously inspiring, and also fun.

Feel free to send me a PM if you have specific questions. Brendan Sullivan, an RHP at Stanford in the 90s, heads the organization. He is brilliant, pleasant, tremendously hard-working, and devoted to kids and to making college athletics accessible. The camps feature a large number of college coaches (mostly from colleges with a combination of strong academics and good baseball programs) and also a staff which instructs and inspires as the kids are also being assessed by these coaches.

The camp is kept small so that each kid can get individual attention. The Jupiter facility is also really nice. (assuming there are no hurricanes on the horizon Wink ).
My 08 attended the Honor Roll Showcase held in Richmond last month. My son played for Brendan this past summer and I echo the comments Bordeaux made about "Sully".

Well run event. My son has attended a number of showcases and what makes this different is that all of the coaches are in uniform, coach the teams and actually saw them giving instruction to players.

If you look at the website for the showcase, you can see what schools will be in attendance.
Feel free to send me a PM if you would like further info.
There haven't been any Honor Roll Camps in the West as far as I know. They tentatively scheduled one in Long Beach in 03 or 04 but it didn't actually happen.

However, there is a west coast affiliate run by the Iglesias brothers which has a lot of camps and clinics (located in northern California)--here is a link. http://www.headfirstacademy.com/index.html
My son worked with Mario Iglesias for several years and he was a huge help and inspiration. But they don't have an equivalent to the Honor Roll Camp in California.

I would say that the Stanford All-Star Camp comes close in the sense that a lot of the same coaches are at the Stanford Camp as are at Headfirst. It is run differently and more focused on recruiting but the exposure is somewhat similar. Emphasis on the "somewhat" and I didn't observe the Stanford camp first-hand, but just based on the lists of coaches at the two camps there is some overlap on the colleges attending....
