The HEATH HAWKS Varsity Baseball team has had an "Outstanding Breakout" Season. This is only the 2nd Graduating Class and the Hawks have placed themselves amongst some of Texas Best!

I am proud to say that this program is a not only good for the Boys, it's good for the School, City, Business etc! It has pulled the community together just as the Hawk Football program did this year!

Coach Harvey is "The Right Guy" for us here at Heath. Steve Wilkerson and I are fortunate to coach his Fall Ball Program. Coach Harvey and his staff have these boys hitting on all cylinders. They started a little slow but have only gained momentum as the season has progressed.

There are a lot of folks that have written these boys off, let me be the one to tell you that I would go to Battle any day with this bunch! If you knew them like I do you would say the same. I am Proud of these outstanding young men and only wish the best for them and their families. They are a special group of boys that succeed not because of individual talent but as a Team playing as ONE!

This week will be a tough challenge in playing Texas High but our boys have prepared themselves for this type of series their whole lives. What a great opportunity to play against a team as talented Texas High. I know that our boys are excited about this opportunity. We know that Texas High has a great team and we are excited that we can share the field with them.

If you are a baseball nut, I suggest that you watch this series. It will be a Great one for all the fans to watch.

Great Job Boys and Great Job Coach Harvey

Texas High 12 Heath 0 Josh Turley throws 2 hitter, and Heathcott hits another HR and Texas High just hit on all cylinders. I want to say how impressed i was with ALL OF HEATHS PEOPLE. First class people, players, coaches and fans. From what i have seen WATCH OUT for this team NEXT COUPLE OF YEARS. The Hernandez kid is the real deal and there are several returning kids who can really play.
Are you not the person that put his 2 cents in back in March about freshman players?

Yes we know our 15 year-olds are not at the same level as juniors and seniors, but they are out there, and alot are making impacts on their teams. So i will bravely go where no one else will go. Here is a list of freshman i have seen play this year who are impacting the teams they are on:

jared pruett- faith christian school varsity
cole fiola- guyer high school varsity
dane evans- sanger high school varsity
dalton brown- ponder high school varsity
lance cullum- guyer freshman team
isaack lopez- guyer freshman team
ben sego- carroll jv
kyle metzger-carroll jv

So there you go. My car didn't turn into a pumpkin, i didn't melt, it is safe to go in the water. Now follow up other freshman parents- and give small accolades where they are due.

I think that Big Train was trying pass on accolades to a player where he felt it was appropriate and deserved. I will go futher to say that for 1eighty to call out one player on a team as the "real deal" is ridiculous. Though I am sure it wasn't 1eighty's intention, it comes across as though the other freshman isn't the "real deal" or that the other players on that team are not the "real deal". In March you call parents out to chime in and today you slam someone for "going into the water".

Rockwall has a great many extremely talented underclassmen that will be known in the upcoming seasons. 4 Rockwall freshman made their teams this season. They all played and contributed to thier respective teams with varying degress of success - but all had successful varsity seasons. RHS: Spencer Edwards and Steve Bean. RHHS: Jake Thompson and Jovan Hernandez. These boys put a great many hours into being the best that they could be to make their varsity squad as freshmen. They went on to prove that freshman can hang with seniors. Kudos to all four of these "real deal" freshman. We look forward to reading about their success for many years to come.
Rockwall legacy? I guess didn't make my point well here. What is the "real deal"? Says who on what day? There are many many talented players out there. Congrats to both Rockwall teams on well played seasons. Congrats to all teams that made the playoffs. Can hardly wait for next year. As well, I suggest everyone use their "REAL NAMES" on this website and most of the trash talk and chest beating would stop. That is just my opinion.
I'm not slamming you 1eighty, or any one particular person.....but.....there have been numerous topics about Rockwall Heath....and they nearly always turn into debates about one freshman or another. Ok, we get it. Concerning the Rockwall legacy....it is one of class and humility, started by Coach Talley and his assistants....one of which is the coach at Heath. I bet all three of them read this stuff and shake their heads.

Btw, I think it's great when a young program establishes itself quickly. That's awesome for baseball.
ryan express, i agree with you that if real names were used that alot of the self promotion and trash talking would tone down but if you have been following this thread all season you see where 1eighty's flustration stems from. there is way too much self promotion on this site and at some point the parents need to let the kid's talents stand on their own. if you want to promote them, do it to college coaches and scouts, not to the general public that sees how good they are every tuesday and friday night on the field. i'm sure there have been very few offers made off of a post saying how great little johnny's dad thinks he is. if anyone can stick their chest out it would be texarkana. after all they are 5-1 against waxahachie, poteet, and heath over the last 3 weeks. i do want to give the big train some props though for being able to catch all of those midweek games first hand all the way from el paso. Big Grin
Hey Guys, I don't know who any of you guys are but you know who I am. I am Timbo Duncan, and I truly am from El Paso. I no longer live there and no I don't know "Big Train", or at least I don't know him by that name, not sure who he really is.

All ya'll stop being silly. Put your REAL NAME on your post and post something nice or stay off.

I would like to say that I am very proud of the Boys from Heath, they are a wonderful bunch and if only all would care about each other as they do - it would be nice.

Hats off to that Bunch from East Texas, man they were awesome. I think they have it ALL to win it ALL. I am sure that the game (s) between them and McKinney North should be awesome.

I hate that high school baseball is over till next year for all of us.

Thanks goes out to all those great Rockwall Folks who came out to support the Hawks Friday night. You guys are great! Only wish that Rockwall and Heath were still in it. They people of Rockwall and Heath are great and will continue to support one another.

Take Care all,

People. Enough already. One person made a post that to some seemed to leave out many on a team that had an outstanding season. Of course, how could that person have known what that information or really should they have cared. The next person posted to acknowledge the outstanding performance of the one but added his personal opinion of several others. The issue arose when yet a 3rd person chose to put down or scold post 2 for his opinion. 180 - the reference to chest beating and trash talking was not at you at all. It was directed to the history of this website. Kudos to TDuncan for using his real name. You know who he is and what he says. EVERYONE ON THIS SITE SHOULD POST THEIR REAL NAMES for many reasons but most importantly to stop persons from pushing personal agendas and to lessen trash talking about each other and players. If you see a kid do something great, say it (no matter if you like the dad or not). If you don't see your kids name here, don't get mad (just use your real name and tell everyone how proud you are of your kid). If you have a negative thought, keep it to yourself - don't post it here.

Let's talk baseball - Anyone going to watch Tx High play their next series?
You guys are weird. 1eighty is from Texarkana and game a complement to a player from an opposing team that he saw. What the heck's the matter with that?

People post complements about players all the time. We don't all jump in and say, "Hey, you didn't brag on my kid!!!"

BTW - *All* of the Heath Hawks are stupendous. I bow down in their presence. What a bunch of Rock Stars. Just ask them.

Takes alot of drama to get Swinghard to crawl out from under his "rock". And the Old Man likes to remind me that I haven't put a dent in his career win total yet. My free time is now spent rooting for the North Dawgs to submarine their way to Dell Diamond. But- if you wanna see a stacked team, check out Texas High this weekend. They are the real deal in 4A!
