OK so I need some help of peers who know better then I. I have been in college since graduation of high school in 2006. I'm a catcher and out of high school my pop time was 1.95 consistently. I did not play my first two years and am finally playing this year. Problem is I did not average 12 credit hours a semester so I lose eligibility. Transferring D1 or D2 I can only play one year. I have 2 1/2 years left on my eligibility if I play at the D3 level. My pop time now is 1.85 1.86, with my best ever being 1.82. Am I still going to get looks from pro scouts? I know I can play at the next level but Im not sure if ill get the looks..any info would be awesome guys! thanks!

Homerun gave great advice. Out of ignorance, I don't know about getting drafted, others will help you there.

Quick story...little white kid goes to D1 school to play football as a WR and quits school after first semester. Finally goes back there three years later with one year of eligibility left and coaches tell him they can probably get him one more year too (it was BS, they just wanted him to play that one year). He plays the one year and is done with NCAA eligibility...but hasn't shown enough to get drafted into the NFL.

Goes to NAIA school in ND and plays a couple of years. Winds up being the first draft pick of the Buffalo Bills and is the answer to the trivia question, who's played in more Super Bowls than any other player (it was later tied at 6).

Where there's a will, there's a way.
It would help if you made your situation a little bit clearer. May I ask if you are playing baseball this spring for a college? If so, is it a junior college or a 4 year institution?

Here's the reason I ask: If you are academically eligible now at a 4 year school, midway through your 3rd year of college, you should be eligible next year at the same school (if you can complete at least 12 hours this term and next.)

If you are in the 3rd year of a JC, and were a qualifier (for D1) coming out of high school, then you only really need a 2.0 GPA and 12 hours per full-time semester in order to transfer into D1 or D2. In other words, if you didn't take 12 hours in some semesters at the JC, you don't need to count that semester.

If you weren't a qualifier, or started at a 4 year school, and then transferred, the situation is tougher.

The recommendation to look at NAIA schools is good, and a D3 may also be good. However, unless you know for certain that D1 and D2 schools are out, don't limit your possibilities.
