Hi, I'm currently a sophomore in a high school in Washington State, and am looking forward to starting for the second year on the varsity baseball team there as shortstop. I am worried that I'm behind everyone else in my area as far as recruiting goes. I need help with some ideas on what to do (contact coaches/schools). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't say you were behind, at all. This would be a good summer to start attending some area showcases and getting your name on the radar screen. You can also write coaches of the schools you are interested in an inquire about their programs. Perhaps attending one of their camps would be a good idea, too, as many schools use camps for their recruiting. In the meantime, focus on getting bigger, faster, and stronger with hard work and good nutrition. Sounds like you have room to grow and mature. Good luck in your journey.
dow...Go through all of the helpful information posted all over the site and then come back and ask questions.

90% of what you need to know is already out there in articles, i.e., "Recruiting timeline" or "Showcases".

Some nice baseball talent in Washington State. We played against Tuiososopo (spelling ?) when he was a sophomore and junior in high school out of the Woodinville area, who was a 1st rounder in 2004.
