From most of the schools I've contacted/received letters from, the colleges that aren't too close in proximity have all asked for a skills tape to help evaluate my skills. Now my dad is far from being technologically gifted and we have a video recorder but he can't really work it too well and doesn't know how to convert it to DVD or VHS, would we be better off just buying a new camcorder that automatically makes DVD's or what?

game - To address your question about buying a new camcorder...I would say that camcorders are very expensive to be buying, especially if you are just going to use it for a skills video. Instead, ask your friends and family if they have such a camcorder that you can borrow. If they do not have one, if you look at your local community college or on-line, I am sure you can find a place that will rent one to you and save you hundreds on buying one brand new.
Also, if you do not know how to make an effective video, I would be happy to e-mail you a complete list of instructions that you can print out that tell you the different camera angles you should shoot from. With each position in the instruction, you can also click on section that allows you to see what the views should look like for that position. Feel free to e-mail me at mark@ebaseballclub.com.
