Irish Pride, There are many great public schools in KY. I just reminded or warned another poster though to be very aware of transfer rules. It's a hot topic in KY right now as we just had two schools fined/penalized for using an ineligible player last yr. One in football and one baseball. I'm sure the rules vary slightly from state to state.
iIrishpride-
We moved to Michigan last year. My son was in middle school at the time, so he did not attend the HS. However he worked with several people at camps that were in the program, one of which was a high draft pick for the Marlins in 2002? He also worked privately with one of the coaches, that puts on a excellent hitting camp several times a year. Great program with a lot of support from the school. Many major league players live in and around Naples/Ft. Myers. If you would like to know anymore PM me and I will offer any other info that I can.
Irish Pride - I would suggest you and your parents explore the high-school association rules in whatever state you are considering.

I would never try to interpret these rules for you - this is something you certainly don't want to take a person's word for. You need accurate answers. Also, if you are planning on transferring to a school - the athletic director of that school can probably give you some valuable information.

If you're coming Kentucky's way, please PM me if you have questions about any particular school. If I'm familiar I'd be happy to share opinions.

In terms of school work, any of the named schools are going to consist of lots of work. How much often depends on the type of student you are, your study habit and your time management skills. If you put good use of your time, free periods, no tv and very little face book, the load can be managed by many students.

Check out how many Inter-Ac athletes graduate at nineteen. A few years ago a GA baseball player graduated at twenty. He started school a year late and was held back when he entered. It's ok because they're not PIAA members.
